Registered members of the above qualifications can put their designated titles i.e. CLP, CLL, CLM on their name cards to show their professional status.

Certified Lean Practitioner (CLP)
The Lean Practitioner has a basic knowledge of Lean and Lean improvement tools, but does not lead projects on their own. The Lean Practitioner participates as a core team member or subject matter expert (SME) on a project or projects. In addition, Lean Practitioners may often be responsible for running process improvement projects within a work cell, work group or value stream. These smaller Lean projects often get escalated to the Lean Leader or Lean Master level where a DMAIC methodology is used to maximize cost savings.
A Certified Lean Practitioner should have at least one year of working experience
In order to obtain the certification, each candidate should
submit a project affidavitwith project document showing the application of theLean Toolsin one of his/her projects in which he/she was either a leader or a member (of a group of maximum 6)within the year of examination and
pass a written examination (within context of BOK) that is a two-hour exam consisting of 40 multiple choice questions. It is offered in either English or Chinese language. Examination is open-book. Each participant must bring his or her own reference materials
pass a consolidatedwritten examination (within context of BOK of Six Sigma Green Belt & within context of BOK of Lean Practitioner) that consists of multiple choice questions that measure comprehension of the Body of Knowledge. This consolidated examination is for candidate who would like to attend the written examinations of Six Sigma Green Belt and Lean Practitioner at the same time. The consolidated examination is a 2.5-hour, 80 multiple-choice question examination. It is offered in either English or Chinese language. Examination is open-book. Each participant must bring his or her own reference materials.
Certified Lean Leader (CLL)
The Certified Lean Leader is a professional, who in support of or under the supervision of a Lean Master, analyzes and solves process problems as well as involved in the operation of complete value stream projects. The Certified Lean Leader is able to lead the lean improvement projects, integrate lean activities, couple with organizational restructuring, support the Lean Master to transform and sustain lean operation.
A Certified Lean Leader should have at least three years of working experience.
In order to obtain the certification, each candidate should
submit a project affidavitwith project document showing the application of theLean Toolsin one of his/her projects in which he/she was a leaderwithin the year of examination and
pass a written examination (within context of BOK) that consists of multiple choice questions that measure comprehension of the Body of Knowledge. The Lean Leader Certification is a 2-hour, 60 multiple-choice question examination. It is offered in either English or Chinese language. Examination is open-book. Each participant must bring his or her own reference materials or
pass a consolidatedwritten examination (within context of BOK of Six Sigma Green Belt & within context of BOK of Lean Leader) that consists of multiple choice questions that measure comprehension of the Body of Knowledge. This consolidated examination is for candidate who would like to attend the written examinations of Six Sigma Green Belt and Lean Leader at the same time. The consolidated examination is a 2.5-hour, 90 multiple-choice question examination. It is offered in either English or Chinese language. Examination is open-book. Each participant must bring his or her own reference materials.
Certified Lean Master (CLM)
The Lean Master is a teacher and a leader. The Lean Master is a professional who can explain Lean philosophies and principles, including supporting systems and tools, and apply Lean strategically in an organization. The Lean Master should demonstrate team leadership, understand team dynamics, and assign team member roles and responsibilities. They have a thorough understanding of and can use all aspects of the Lean Models, apply lean transformation in a business or organizations and manage the whole value stream include any process that has a defined customer and supplier (including internal), material flow and information flow. The process include multiple operations or tasks that require the use of several people, machines or equipment. The Lean Master is able to train, mentor and coach the Lean professionals to support the lean activities in the organization.
Certified Lean Master should be an ISSC Certified Lean Leader who has led at least two business transformation projects. Each project must include two or more of the classic value streams of:
new product development
order through delivery
supply chain
administrative functions
effecting an increase/recover of revenue or reduction/avoidance of operation cost of at least HK$1 million annually for the organization(s).
In order to obtain the certification, each candidate should
pass the project assessment of Examination Board on meeting the level of Lean Master qualification by submitting a project affidavitand project documents showing the application of the Lean Tools in his/her projects in which he/she was a leader within two years of examination and attending a 30-minutes presentation session + 30-minutes Q&A oral exam in front of two examiners, and
pass a written examination(within context of BOK)that consists of multiple choice questions that measure comprehension of the Body of Knowledge. The Lean Master Certification is a 2-hour, 60 multiple-choice question examination. It is offered in either English or Chinese language. Examination is open-book. Each participant must bring his or her own reference materials and
have conducted at least 2 waves of Lean Leader Trainings of not less than 4 days for each class and achieve a grade of "good" or above on evaluation of trainer completed by participants and
have coached at least 5 lean professionals and achieve a grade of "good" or above on evaluation of both technical and coaching skills of the coacher completed by these lean professionals
