Topic: Successful Six Sigma Implementation in Nokia Salcomp
Speaker: Prof Philip Chan, ISSC Honorary Advisor and Examiner
We have invited Prof Philip Chan to share with us his experience of successful implementation of Six sigma in Nokia Salcomp. This is a pioneer model of implementing Six Sigma. Prof Chan has shared with the participants how to build a supportive foundation in launching Six Sigma within the company.
Prof Chan holds Postdoctoral in Management Sciences and Engineering. In 2005, he was elected as Six Sigma Expert by CAQ(China Quality Association) on top of registered MBB(Master Six Sigma Black Belt). He is actively contribute to community services in Quality fields including External Examiner for Six Sigma Black Belt Teacher and Director of CAQ(China Quality Association), Deputy Director of Quality Expert Committee for Shenzhen Quality Association, Honorary Advisors of ISSC, SSI(Six Sigma Institute) and HKQMA, Guest Professor of Tianjin University & Beijing Normal University; Visiting Professor of Bulacan State University, Tarlac State University and NEUST etc. He was recipient of China Excellence Quality Person award in 2005 and China Top Ten Financial & Intelligent Person award in 2009. Recently, he is devoted to charity work as Chairman of Chinese Child Safety Foundation (a Strategic Partner of China Children and Teenagers Fund – www.cctf.org.cn)
