2016 Seminar2

Topic:  A Brief Introduction to TRIZ

Speaker:  Mr. David Kwan, Mechanical Design Engineer

Date:  Friday, 14 October 2016

TRIZ stands for "Theory of the resolution of invention-related tasks".  It is an inventive problem solving toolkit developed in Russia in 1946.  This problem solving tool helps directing us to discover the most effective solution of a problem, as well as finding new concepts and routes for developing new products quickly, cheaply and inventively.  It has been widely used as a method for understanding and solving complex management problems in business.

David has presented the overall framework of classical TRIZ and introduce the basic concept of TRIZ.  He has also shared with us several cases on the application of TRIZ.  The seminar was well received by over 25 pariticipants.  We would like to thank David for his inspiring speech.
