Rules of Exemption

Candidates who have attended Six Sigma/Lean trainings in other organizations, either in-house or public, can apply for exemption of written examination provided that:

a.  The syllabus of the training course covers over 80% of Body of Knowledge of respective discipline (as listed in Examination Requirement)
b.  There is a course-end written examination
c.  The exam score should be at 70% or above

Please download the exemption application form here and submit the following documents to the examination board's review:

a.  the certificate of passing the exam
b.  the examination body information - e.g. the introduction, the way they run the exam, the exam format, the body of knowledge (BOK) or the syllabus, their website link
c.  if you attended the trainings in other organizations, you should submit a sample of the exam questions,  the way they run the exam, the exam format and the passing mark, the body of knowledge (BOK) or the syllabus, the profile of the lecturers, the lecture hours, their website link and email address of the person responsible for the exam.

The examiner reserves the right to interview the candidate and make enquiries to the related training organizations or corporations related if deemed necessary.
